Phil Hardberger Park is home to the Alamo Area Master Naturalists— a large group of dedicated and knowledgeable volunteers. These talented volunteers preserve the native habitat of the park and deepen our knowledge of it through observation and interpretation.

This collection of guides and articles about the flora and fauna in the park was written by or derived from their works, in addition to contributions from Park Staff and guest speakers.

  • Grab-N-Go Nature Lesson Kits are designed by the Park’s Education Coordinator. There is a Gradeschool edition and a preschool edition. The kits are handed out every second-Sunday in the Children’s Nature Play Area. Instructions from the previous kits are available for download here.
