Land Bridge Details: Know Before You Go!

The Robert L.B. Tobin Land Bridge is near complete! At 1 p.m. on Friday, December 11, your park will be united and the 7.5 miles of trails will be connected. Here are some details to know, before you head out to the park this weekend.

Walking Distance

It is a little over half a mile from both major parking areas to the land bridge. The average walking time for half a mile is 15-25 minutes.

The Land Bridge trail from the Savanna Loop to the Water Loop is .25 miles long.

ADA Trails

The trails highlighted on the map above are ADA friendly trails. There is a slight grade uphill as you go onto the Land Bridge, but it too is designed with ADA specifications.

Parking

There are three major parking areas. If one parking lot is too full, check one of the others. Download the Park Map above for directions to the Land Bridge from the three major parking lots.

The three major parking areas are located at:

  • 8400 NW Military Highway, San Antonio, TX 78213

  • 13203 Blanco Road, San Antonio Texas, 78216

  • 1201 Voelcker Lane, San Antonio, Texas, 78247

Are bikes allowed on the Land Bridge?

Please WALK your bikes over the Land Bridge, so everyone can share the trail safely.

Social Distancing - Please Share the Trails

The grand opening of the Land Bridge has been highly anticipated and we are happy to welcome you to the park! However, this is a challenging time and we all have to do our part to socially distance and be safe.

Please remember to stay at least 8 feet away from people outside of your household, and stay home if you are sick. The Land Bridge will be here for generations to come.

Please keep 8 feet away from other people outside of your household when on the trails.
