Do you love getting your hands dirty? Do you learn best by doing? Do you want to make a difference in Phil Hardberger Park?
Join the Weed Warriors as they work beside our park staff to beautify the park. WW's sometimes remove non-native plants, plant native plants, remove trash, and build and repair trails. The group meets every Wednesday plus the first Saturday of most months. It focuses on a different section of the park, depending on what is needed.
May 1st, 8:30 a.m. — 10:30 a.m. Invasive Species Removal
Meet at the Walker Ranch parking lot.
Walker Ranch Historic Landmark Park (12603 West Ave) – Giant Mustard (Rapistrum rugosum) is an invasive species from Eurasia. It out competes our native wildflowers. Volunteers are needed to remove this pesky annual and give our natives a fighting chance.
