Take in all the natural beauty the park has to offer and learn about nature along the way! Join us for programs covering all sorts of nature topics. Most months there are nature talks and walks every 3rd and 4th Saturday, respectively.
Hear a brief introductory classroom talk on local wildlife including photos of wildlife common to the park, followed by a walk further explaining wildlife and its relationship to the local ecosystem led by Christine Westerman.
Nadia Gaona will present on permaculture, designed around whole system thinking.
This is an excellent outdoor learning curriculum for pre-K teachers, volunteers and parents. The "Growing Up WILD" curriculum book is filled with resource information, nature activities, songs, art, music, math and much more to help children 3-7 years old learn to appreciate and enjoy nature.
