Fish out of Water!

Fish out of Water!

The kids of Hardberger Park learned how to bait a hook, cast a line and handle a fish—and they did it on dry land!

Susan Campbell, Education Coordinator, led the group of would be fisher-boys and girls through lessons at the Fishing Fun program July 30, at PHP-West.

Everyone caught a fish, of the plastic variety, and learned how to identify several salt and fresh water varieties.

While there were no fish to clean, the kids learned the importance of cleaning up and making sure that no hazardous fishing-lines were left behind. They each took home their own handy trash container—just the right size to slip in a tackle box.
