Weed Wednesday Warriors

Do you love getting your hands dirty?  Do you learn best by doing?  Do you want to make a difference in Phil Hardberger Park?  Join the Weed Warriors as they work beside our park staff to beautify the park.  WW's sometimes remove non-native plants, plant native plants, remove trash, and build and repair trails.  The group meets every Wednesday plus the first Saturday of most months.  It  focuses on a different section of the park, depending on what is needed.

April 11th - Volunteers are need to help with invasive Giant Mustard control along the Salado Creek Greenway, which connects to Hardberger Park. Meet at the Walker Ranch Park parking lot (12603 West ave).

Gloves, trash, bags, tools and insect spray are provided. Volunteers may prefer to bring their own gloves and should bring their own water.  Eye protection (sunglasses are fine), bug spray, long pants and closed-toe shoes are recommended.
