Do you love getting your hands dirty? Do you learn best by doing? Do you want to make a difference in Phil Hardberger Park? Join the Weed Warriors as they work beside our park staff to beautify the park. WW's sometimes remove non-native plants, plant native plants, remove trash, and build and repair trails. The group meets every Wednesday plus the first Saturday of most months. It focuses on a different section of the park, depending on what is needed.
May 3rd meet near the butterfly garden in front of the stone-faced Salado building (13203 Blanco Rd). The group will weed invasive and noxious species in the rain garden and off of Water Loop trail.
Gloves, trash bags, tools and insect spray are provided. Volunteers may prefer to bring their own gloves and are encouraged to bring their own water. For more information and for directions to the meeting location, call (210) 207-3284 or e-mail email@example.com.
