Ethnobotany is the study of how people use plants for food, medicine, tools, dyes, weaving baskets, etc. Hear a brief introduction to Ethnobotany and artifacts in the classroom followed by a nature walk led by Janis Merritt. On this walk participants will learn how the Native Americans and pioneers used native plants in their daily life. Come and learn the uses of some of the common plants occurring naturally in our park. Go to http://www.meetup.com/Alamo-Sierra-Club-Outings/ for a full description.
