Nature Walk: Invasive Plants

Learn how invasive plants threaten our native landscapes. Rachel Cywinski begins the program in the PHP UEC classroom.  Her presentation on invasive plant specimens is followed by a short walk to identify invasive plants around the savanna and adjacent areas.  Ms. Cywinski is a graduate of the Bexar County Master Naturalists (predecessor to the Texas Master Naturalists) and is a life member of the Sierra Club and Native Plant Society of Texas.  Having completed docent and speaker's bureau training with the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, she began presenting Citizen Science trainings in 2008 and has been a Coordinator of the San Antonio Invaders.

Presented by Alamo Area Texas Master Naturalists, Sierra Club, Phil Hardberger Park Conservancy and San Antonio Parks & Recreation.  Free and no registration is required. A donation to the PHP Conservancy of $3/ person OR $5/ family is suggested.
