Grasses of Hardberger Park

The walk is led by Floyd Waller of the Native Plant Society, who shares his expertise in grasses.  Walkers have the chance to see more grass and more fully-developed grasses, especially inflorescences, than is possible earlier in the year.  They can also see the progress in the savanna restoration.

Meet in the patio area of the PHP Urban Ecology Center in the west side of the park (8400 NW Military Hwy).  The program is presented by the Sierra Club, the Alamo Area Texas Master Naturalists, the Phil Hardberger Park Conservancy and San Antonio Parks & Recreation.  It is free and no registration is required.  A donation to the PHP Conservancy of $3/ person OR $5/ family is suggested.

For more information call the Phil Hardberger Park Conservancy office at 210-492-7472.
