Wildflowers & Butterflies

Learn about native wildflowers and the butterflies that need them.  Learn the difference between host plants and nectar sources.  Get up close on a walk through the garden.  Master Naturalist Drake White presents.

Presented by Alamo Area Texas Master Naturalists, Phil Hardberger Park Conservancy and San Antonio Parks & Recreation.  Free and no registration is required. A donation to the PHP Conservancy of $3/ person OR $5/ family is suggested.

Directions from Blanco Rd:

  • Turn onto LONGFIELD DR (at stop light, by Blanco BBQ); 
  • Turn LEFT on OLD BLANCO RD
  • Turn RIGHT onto VOELCKER LANE
  • Continue to the Salado Creek Greenway trail parking lot;
  • Park and enter the homestead through the pedestrian gate to the left. 
  • The Butterfly Learning Center is on the right near the end of the trail.
